The Cory Family Connection

John Cory was a prominent coal mine and ship-owner whose wealth supplied bunker ports worldwide. He and his family are buried in the churchyard of St Nicholas Church, with their elaborate Grade II listed tomb featured as Object 4 in our History in 25 Objects. An exhibition about the Cory family is on display at National Trust Dyffryn Gardens.
