Our Story
Our church
Once a track and then a pathway - of people and their time! Of Norman lords, priests and local peasants (summoned by the Sanctus Bell to glimpse through the rood screen the rising of the communion host) ; of Owain Glyndwr’s soldiers going into battle against the English, and Royalists camping overnight before defeat by the Parliamentarians; of an Admiral departing to join Nelson at Trafalgar, successive generations of his family fighting bravely in the colonies and World War One; of servants arriving early with bibles to await their use by the landed gentry; of labourers from local estates, and merchants too, seeking baptisms in large numbers for their vulnerable children. They all came and we do still - from school, for weddings, christenings, funerals, worship and good company.
